Originally conceived by the South Asian Sisters in San Francisco, Yoni Ki Baat is a monologue cycle that explores what it means to be a South Asian woman in the United States. Like a chain letter passed through the theatrical community, the piece includes contributions from female writers across the country. Rasaka is proud to present the Chicago premiere of this piece, which includes two new monologues by local writers. By combining spoken word, music and dance, Rasaka Theatre Company presents Yoni Ki Baat — an exploration of the ultimate forbidden zone, with a uniquely desi twist.
